GLAPD Campaign
Over 12 weeks our team had the pleasure of working alongside GLAPD, a not-for-profit organisation to produce a series of animations that educate the target communities of migrants and refugees from the great lakes region. In order to develop our own awareness and understanding, we engaged in research relating to cultural barriers. These barriers included shame, self-blame, financial, dependence upon partners, belief in the high value of marriage, cultural acceptance of VAW and a lack of knowledge of women’s rights and services. As a response, our key concept aimed to open up the conversation and encourage responsibility within GLAPD’s target communities.
